Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A long ride out from Cocklebiddy on a rutted dirt road (4wd essential) and then a notice that the cave was closed due to dangerous rockfalls. We were able to see the cave and the entrance to further passages from a distance but it was hardly worth the effort required. If this is to be a tourist attraction, some work is necessary.

Great cave that you should definitely visit if you feel confident in driving through 10 kilometres of unsealed and bumpy dirt and rock track. A 4x4 or four-wheel drive is recommended due to the terrain. The cave itself looks amazing and is a great place for some photos.

As a speleo its known as a great cave but closed to the public now. The doline is still worth a look but do not enter due to locks and unstable rocks.

Cocklebiddy Cave is a little known cave along the Eyre Highway, 11kms west of Cocklebiddy. It is accessible by dirt track, approximately 11kms. Not many people visit here so it is a nice little stop for a picnic or look. There is no access to the cave but plenty of information boards to read and lovely resident widelife to watch around the cave. Australian Kestrels dance around the cave opening and overhead.
