My wife and I recently visited Scotland, and while traveling from Portree to Loch Ness, we were trying to take in as much of the Isle of Skye that we could. We noticed we had Misty Isle listed on our "want to go" places on...More
One of the best experiences of my trip! Seamus and his pa are entertaining, knowledgeable and great company. They were also incredibly helpful with any enquiries I had about getting to Elgol.. a MUST for anyone visiting Skye!
We booked this trip to Lake Coruisk since we’d seen many other parts of Skye. It was a lovely relaxed 3 hours of boat ride and plenty of time to take photos of the lake. If you plan to walk around the lake you’ll need...More

The walk down from the top to the pier is very steep and anyone with mobility issues would struggle with the walk back up. If you have a car this wouldn't be an issue but if you come by bus it would be. However, the staff at Misty Isle gave us a lift back up to the top after the trip. They were also great getting my companion on and off the boat, plus we arranged a short stop at Loch Coruisk and an ear!y return. Don't let this put you off an amazing trip.
