Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

the worst customer service I've ever seen in New Zealand. Rude, offensive, racist staff. Visited their swimming pool only. Staff member didn't even allow to fill the water bottle in their kitchen as I paid for pool only and not the holiday park facilities. Terrible experience. Sad I can't rate it lower than this.

Compared to other holiday parks in New Zealand we visited, the cabin was extremely small and lacking both heater and Toaster as well as in cabin seating. The bed had an extremely soft mattress, not back friendly. Wifi is payable extra. The reception was cold. It rained and the lady got herself an umbrella without offering me one. So I had to walk behind her in the rain. When expressing my disappointment she offered a cancellation at 2/3 of the cabin rate, although I had only made an instant booking over the phone two hours before.

We live nearby and frequent these Hot Springs regularly. Water changed daily and always clean. Can be really busy in school holidays with families. Spa is nice and hot!
Only criticism latest admission is 7pm ,as they start to empty pools. be nice to have a late night in weekends!

I took my grand daughters here one afternoon for a swim. They were fascinated by the bird statues and We took some nice photos. The pool was small and busy. It seemed more a soaking hangout for adults than a kids area. It was all very clean and tidy and camera surveillance of the pool was pointed out to us when we paid. There was a shallow area for small children and the main pool is quite deep but smallish. There was another small pool which was only for adults. It was pretty full of old tea bags.... I mean old people ;-). Aesthetically speaking it was nice with art on the fence etc but it seemed small and crowded and would have been nicer with more room around the pool with grass and chairs. It was a little too intimate for me but the kids liked it. The main pool being maybe a bit too deep for the 8 yr old and the small pool being too shallow for her. So I had to swim with her the whole time. You can't just take kids that age and sit on the side. The pool is too deep for that. The staff were very polite and friendly.

This winter we decided to make a concentrated effort of looking after ourselves and relaxing in a spa/pool complex to chill out. Purchased a concession visit card and whenever we feel the need to soak and chill we make a visit. Friendly staff/management with a pristine facility.

Although I do not stay at this campground I do visit their thermal hot pools. They are small but delightfully clean and the water is nice and hot. The hosts are always friendly. I am told the campground and cabins are equally as clean and well maintained.

This is the place to stay for a relaxing break away, awesome hosts and staff- thanks Tilly! As members of the Top 10 holiday parks we always stay at the one at Waihi Beach..... not any more found this gem less than 10mins round the road from the beach by the harbour, pools are a lovely bonus free when you stay there. Will absolutely be back with the bus next time, this was a great find!! Thanks

We were greeted on arrival by the manager and escorted to a nice site, close to all amenities. We asked to stay 3 nights and were offered the 4th night free which was great, even though it is not expensive to stay, compared to some other camps we have stayed. We had a cheeky blackbird visit us throughout the days which we happily fed. She would stand on the caravan step and stare at us. The pools are wonderful and a great socialising place. The larger pool is perfect heat for swimming laps and the smaller one is for a divine soak and chat. The whole park is clean and tidy with good night lighting. I recommend this camp to any weary travellers.

I was originally staying for one night but extended it to three. Stayed in a motel unit , which is actually a self contained chalet.Exceptionally clean with a fabulous comfy bed. The hot pools are great, just the right temperature. The hosts are really friendly and delivered a newspaper to my unit each morning. Beautiful setting with lovely surrounding countryside. If I didn't live 11000 miles away I would go every year for my hols!

We are visiting with a group in June 2014 and wanted to get a feel of the place. Very friendly and helpful staff, were quite happy to spend time to show me round and let me know what they do for groups. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The pools had a great atmosphere with fantastic mosaics on the walls and no extra charge if you are staying at the campground. A separate adults pool had seating but you could still keep a good eye on any children you might be in charge of. Offers of different powered sites, your choice. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Hi, we intended to pop in and spend sometime here after our walk through the gorge . We will have our little dog with us, is there somewhere safe we can tie him up while we have swim?
