I was in Benagil beach today only with one target - to rent a kayak there to go to Benagil cave, but I do not suggest to do that because: 1. beach is very small and overcrowded. There was no space to lay after kayaking...More

The water is warm with some waves, light blue. A lot of seashells on the sand as well. You can swim to the cave of Benagil pretty easily. Just be careful with the boats

This beach in the Benagil Cave is amazing. It can only be accessed by swimming, kayak, paddleboard or boat. It can get very busy, as it is very popular. All the same it is well worth the visit and is a local must see.

We wanted to come and see the caves especially with eye. When you drive in, there's a fairly large and free parking lot about 300m from the beach. It's a downhill walk so bring all your stuff and don't bother walking back up until you're...More

We arrived 9am. It was quiet, we found parking easily. Loads of space on the beach. We did the cliff walk before heading to beach and it was breathtaking. Worth it. August is hot and is busy and by midday when the crowds came down...More

I swam to the cave, did not rent a kayak, but there is a place to rent kayaks right at Benagil Beach. I believe it is around 20 euros for two hours. I used a standard travel camera (Fuji x20) but I have a waterproof bag to... More

Try to book online because it is overbooked for the same day if you arrive at the beach after 12..... swimming is 15 mins at most but beware chill ocean water.
