Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It won't take you long after leaving the carpark, to take this walk and see a spectacular view across the wide valley to Mt Kosciusko - as long as cloud isnt blocking the view!
The boardwalk makes it safe for non-hiking shoes, but be practical, and also bring the warm parka, warm hat and gloves as the wind and altitude can make it quite cold.
There are helpful interpretation signs about the Snowgum Forest, glaciated land formation and human use of this area, to give you a snapshot of this our hightest country.
Don't forget the camera, your water, and to listen for the birds.
You will need a car to get to this carpark and about 1/2 hour from Jindabyne - don't rush the drive. Be safe. Entry to this National Park is $17 per car.
This carpark is also the starting place for longer walks too, so cars may be left a while and there is a toilet block at the far end of the carpark.

We enjoyed this easy walk through beautiful Snowgums, with the most gorgeous coloured trunks, to viewpoints over the Snowy River valley. It looked so good, we were encouraged to walk down to the Snowy River, which took us about 20 minutes. Then we had to make the return hike back to the car park. This was quite strenuous, but we took our time and enjoyed the stunning scenery around us. We visited in autumn, but needed good coats, as it was chilly at this high elevation. We visited with 2 in 50's, 2 in 30's, 1 in 20's and a baby.

Stunning views along this short walk. The trees are very old and fascinating in terms of their shapes. The view at the lookout at the end is to die for.

I rode to Charlotte Pass in summer just for the scenery, and it was a very pleasent surprise to find this boardwalk to a great viewing platform, where you can enjoy the vista.
Loads of snow around still in mid-December, but the road was dry and safe to access all the way to this car park

very pleasant short walk along the boardwalk to a lookout, overlooking Mt Kosicuszko and Rawsons pass. Very easy and a must do when in Charlottes Pass. Only downside was getting harassed by ppl wanting to sign there petition to cull the wild brumbies at the commencement of the walk.

Nice easy walk to the lookout platform. Gorgeous views of the valley and Australia's highest peak. Would be amazing during winter.

Last time I was here it was imminent rain, but this time, wow, what a view. Its a gentle walk along the ridgetop to a platform with spectacular views
Very popular, not enough car parking for the level of attraction, so go early

Drive to the pass, walk to the boardwalk and check out the iconic view of the main range. Snowgums nearby. Beautiful.

We rode our motor bikes up to Charlottes Pass, The view is beautiful and stunning. There had been fresh snow fall a few days before we went. The mountains were stunning with snow on them.

Stunning and magical views, as we came on the last weekend of May there wasn't a lot of snow fall in Thredbo where we were staying, the closer we got to charlottes pass the more excited we became with the beautiful snow covered mountains. This walk is a must! There was only 1 other person there and the views are magical
