we rented a boat for the week, and moored off several of the islands. This was one of my favorite spots for swimming. If you snorkel you won't see much but even the town was adorable!

It's a steep descent to the tiny beach which was the scene for the boats landing in 'Il Postino'. I was warned by a Swiss lady to watch out for the jelly fish lurking near the rock but enjoyed a lovely refreshing swim.

I visited this spot from the sea by anchoring our sailboat and swimming, and later from land by parking my scooter on the street and walking down. It is spectacular. Don't miss stopping at the little town of Pollara.

Very pleasant town to walk around skirted by palm trees & wide streets. A nice beach & nearby sand dunes make this a lovely spot on the Sicilian coastline.
