Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A truly beautiful beach and lovely low key facilities. This area was recommended to us after champagne beach was hard to access so we had no prior expectations. As it turned out we were delighted that we had the chance to visit this area - it has beautiful clear water and a couple of rustic restaurants run by locals. Well worth the drive up from Luganville despite the poor condition of some sections.

If you go to Santo Island, you must go to Port Olry Beach. I would visit Port Olry Beach instead of Champagne Beach if I had to choose. The water is beautiful and pristine. Our young son loved playing in the calm water here, too.
Have a meal at Chez Louis and then stay to relax and enjoy the beach.
We visited in July 2022 right after the reopening from the panademic, so there were very few people around and it was idyllic.

Port Olry is truly one of the most beautiful tropical beaches I've ever seen. The colour of the water is remarkable - almost milky close to shore, and crystal clear around the smaller islands. Very calm water. Good snorkelling around the offshore islands, which are easily accessed by kayak - you can even walk to one at low tide! Bring your own snorkel gear. The land and facilities are owned by Kustom owners - so great to be supporting the villagers. This is a peaceful fishing village, with just one (soon to be 2) restaurants, and no shops. Come for the beauty, stay for the serenity and the people.

Hired a car from. Our resort... Turtle Bay, and headed north about 35km. Kept driving past the usual champange beach and got glimpses of some incredible water color. There is a sign post inviting you in and there is no charge unlike some others. We found most probably the best beach I have been to, there is a small restaurant and bar and the beach. We were lucky and have the place almost to ourselves. If there was a hotel on site I'd never leave.

Nice beach for swimming. Definitely a must see place. If you go to one place in Espirato Santo go here. You will not regret it. Make sure that you go on a sunny day with good weather. You will need transport as it is along way from the main town.

Port Olry is basically Champagne Beach's big brother. Only 10 mins drive north from Champagne Beach, Port Olry Beach is bigger, has more facilities, but lacks the intimacy of Champagne Beach. It is hard to choose between the two, so why not spoil yourself and spend time in them both.

Port Orly beach is located at the northern end of the east coast of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu. It’s a glorious beach, with white sand and crystal clear water. We spent a couple of hours here as part of a day tour from Luganville. It was a beautiful day, hot and sunny – we swam and snorkelled here and really loved our time here. The water is spectacular and so is the snorkelling and sometimes the turtles will join you in your swim. Food that we ordered at the only café in Port Orly was very disappointing though I hear that the coconut crab is excellent. If you are visiting Espiritu Santo don’t miss the east coast beaches.

This beach was just beautiful. The water was so clear, it was perfect for snorkelling and swimming. When i visited this beach the water was so clear i was swimming with the fish! Then when i thought it was the best it could be someone spotted a wild turtle and before i knew it i was swimming over the top of it! One of the most amazing experiences ever!

The view was amazing and the cafe there had the most delicious food, if i went back to Vanuatu i would certainly go back there.
Trust me it does not get better than this!

lovely natural beach alongside the village ,really spectacular scenery of nearby islands ,and clear water to laze in ..A choice of 3 restaurants (run by the local families from the village) offering cheap and amazing seafood..AND unlike nearby Champagne Beach , ( who charge 2000vatu ,AUD$25 per car), if you eat at the restaurants they don't charge you an "entry site fee". We spent 3 leisurely hours walking ,swimming and dining...Plan to spend the day there...

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! And I think the water may be as blue as the water in the Bahamas!

Highly recommend visiting this beach over Champagne Beach it is free and more beautiful. There is also some good snorkelling spots not too far off.

We also had a lovely lunch on the beachfront.

It is about 62km from Luganville. We hired a car for the day to visit the beaches along the east coast.
