Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do you know what I love about lookouts? Everything... they are usually made so everyone can see a bit of beauty. And this is a particularly beautiful spot to look out onto.
The different hues of green against a blue sky with fluffy clouds... sounds poetic, does it not? It is humbling at times when you see what we have at our disposal to look at.. the beauty around us.
Tasmania is actually the tail end of Australia’s Great Dividing Range, the range of mountains that runs like a spine down the Eastern seaboard of the continent. As a result, most travel in Tasmania involves crossing mountains. So you are fortunate that is just one of many lookouts that you can stop at.

I'm fairly sure that this lookout is on Mt Claude & Round Mt. is to the south. Mt Rolland & Mt Vandike are to the north. The map that is there is from the Hydro web site depicting the Mersey- Forth power scheme. As the map is look south & you are looking west & north it does not relate to what you are seeing. What you are seeing is well worth the look. The road from Mole Creek though Mayberry past the caves to Cradle Mt. takes you past here. Sheffield can be seen to the north. If you a driver you will enjoy the roads surrounding this lookout. If your not pull off to let people pass. The blackness from here of a night is worth a look if passing. There is less than 100km of Tasmania between you and South America so windy is normal.

We stopped here when it was extremely windy & cold so we didn’t walk around much but took a few photos. It was east enough to pull off the road and park. Worth a stop if driving by.

It is a steep drive up a sealed road to this lookout but certainly worth the effort and time to do so.
Spectacular view of both mountain and plains to the north.

Olivers Road is a stretch used during the Targa, which says everything for how enjoyable a drive it is. But, if you stop on the left at the top, you will find this lookout with views to Mount Roland
