Once a formal garden built for Peter the Great, this popular park still has more than 80 of the original marble statues and sculptures and houses Peter's Summer Palace, a simply designed two-story building that now displays many of the ruler's own artifacts.

    Spring in St. Petersburg
The tour of the palace is quite informative, the guide presents the material well. Before entering, there was a queue of groups of tourists inside, the delay was about ten minutes, there were a lot of people, it was stuffy. I recommend visiting.

    The pride of Russia!
This is an incredible place! A must visit if you come to St. Petersburg for excursion purposes. The palace is magnificent, and the park is simply the best in the world! This is the very miracle that everyone should see at least once in their life! There is a professional guide inside the palace, but in the park it is better to take an audio guide. Buy tickets in advance on the official website.

    Fabulous Fountain Sculpture Garden
Fabulous Fountain Sculpture Garden. The palace is small. It is about an hour's drive from St Petersburg. It is a vast garden with Fountains and Sculptures. Wonderful. very large. We got a buggy to go around. If someone wants to walk, they can also get into the sea which borders the garden

Visited Peterhof yesterday, it is better to arrive in the morning until there are no people, closer to 1 p.m. and later it will not be the same, the crowd will be such that it will be uncomfortable and the photo will be full of other people. The food inside is a nightmare, we took two hot dogs and lemonade from the grill shop and gave 1750 for it, it wouldn't have been pity if it had been hearty and delicious, but it was the cheapest sausage with cartilage, a record of cheese, fried wind-blown bacon and it all tasted like it was almost extinct ... kind of disrespectful to the guests. We went there for 7 hours, went around all the castles and nooks and crannies just didn't reach Alexandria and didn't go inside any buildings, so if you want to watch EVERYTHING and not drop dead there, it's best to take an electric car tour and quickly go around the grounds and then around the castles and take food/water with you for sure!!! At 10:00 the main fountain is turned on, they wrote that there should be solemn music, but there was none, just parts of the fountains were turned on in turn and everyone, in 2 minutes everything worked, waited for something grander. The Gulf of Finland is delightful, especially the chic view if you walk to Marley Palace and nearby climb the steps up, breathtaking. And be sure to buy at the entrance the guide "Peterhof", costs 100₽, in the middle there is a map and you will at least have a clue where you are going and where you have already been. Everything there, of course, is striking in scale and beauty. The on-site toilet is free, clean. There are two fountains in which children get mad, if you have children, then get them a change of clothes, and it is better of course to read the information yourself, because the tour guides are all different, they will not show you 100% of the territory and can tire of tones 😉 still looked at how to get to Peterhof, but the information is wrong. From the Avtovo metro only route 401 goes, it does not say "Fountains" but it goes where it needs to go. That's it!

We are very happy with the trip! It's beautiful!
I think it's too much to tout the palace and the fountains 🤭 everyone knows what's in there and how. I'll add some useful information! You can get to Peterhof Meteor (water) tickets from 1,400 per person one way. By bus (with tour mainly) The price is lucky. Our way is from Baltic Station on the train 😁 for 100p for two)) It's about 40 minutes. Then through the grove on foot for about 20 minutes and you're there. There was no line on this side (person 5) but we got there at 10am) Tickets to the palace are best bought on the website gorbill (did not work at the right moment) and locally. Take the line at the till, not the palace. Visit only in groups with a tour guide. Not bad overall. We took a tour to the Grotto - also interesting + gives you the opportunity to take beautiful photos where without this tour there is no access. Adult ticket to the Grotto 500p. They didn't go to the other palaces - tired. These days in St. Petersburg the heat +30° is not enough for everything. Another time we'll see the rest of the palaces. Admission to Alexandria is for a fee. Many tourists are surprised and saddened by this. Food and drink are very expensive - we took everything with us.

You should definitely see and be impressed once!
This is the 2nd year in a row we've come here: first it was the two of us with our husband, then with our parents. The second time, of course, you're not so impressed anymore, it's more like they were just following the company. Admission by passport RF for adults 750₽/person. We always come here and back by taxi, the average one-way price is 1000-1500₽. It is both more comfortable and profitable to tour

    Family Walk
A very atmospheric, beautiful place. He tells history, and he wants to walk and walk and spends hours learning about the history of this place. Walking through the lower garden was not much spoiled by the downpour and the inability to shelter anywhere nearby except the toilet 😀

    Great place.
Not the first time in Peterhof. The place itself is very beautiful... well maintained. There's a lot of people, but nobody's bothering each other. Nature and the bay are magnificent. The fountains are beautiful. From the service : long queues at the entrance for Shopping ticket (but it's the holiday season , you can stand ) , on the grounds organized outlets selling ice cream , hot dogs, etc - the price is exorbitant ))) it is better to bring a snack 😃👍

    Amazing palace in Russia!
Located on the southern shores of the Gulf of Finland, the Peterhof Palace was originally built as a response to the Palace of Versailles and as a gift from Peter the Great to his wife, Catherine I. Intended as a summer residence for the royal family, the palace and its surrounding gardens are renowned for their grandeur and beauty. Featuring meticulously designed gardens adorned with golden statues and dancing fountains, Peterhof stands as one of the finest examples of European gardens. Divided into upper and lower gardens, with the main palace situated between them, the complex boasts a staggering 255 bronze statues and 64 gravity-fed fountains. Sadly, the palace suffered significant damage during World War II, but thanks to extensive restoration efforts, it has been returned to its former glory.

Been there many times already. It amazes with its beauty, you want to come again and again. Visited again on September 23, 2023. The impression remained ambiguous. On this day, the closure of the fountains was announced and at 21 o’clock there was a performance, tickets were 1500 and people began to be allowed into the park at 18 o’clock. Accordingly, the parks were open only until 16:00. If you had time to take a walk and look, well done, if you didn’t have time, it’s your problem. By 18 o'clock there was a decent queue... Because... We were passing through and had the opportunity to walk through the parks and see the fountains during the day, and then we didn’t have to wait 2 hours at the entrance; we arrived at the beginning of six, or rather at 17-15. There is a small network of cafes nearby, there is no queue, but the PRICES... At 18-15 we got to the lower park and ran to at least see something before it got dark. I took my granddaughter with me; she was there for the first time. I wanted to show her all the beauty and grandeur of the fountains. After 40 minutes it got dark and for 2 hours we wandered through the alleys in almost complete darkness, only food stalls were lit, also with not at all cheap prices.. By the way, although the closure of the fountains was announced for that day, in fact many of them were already closed. At 21 o'clock the performance began. Yes, it was probably beautiful. But, in my opinion, it was better to watch it all on TV. Crowds of people occupied all the alleys and paths, and even lawns. “Double-decker” dads stood around, their children were lucky to watch the performance. And the performance was rather boring. In general, we didn’t wait until the end, we hurried to the exit; it was a long way to get there and the prospect of calling a taxi was not at all attractive. Result: Me and the child - 2 tickets for 1500 each, ate at 17 o'clock - 3000, at 20 o'clock another 2000, total 8000, a little expensive. But we are very glad that we left earlier and, although in a crowded bus, we still left and arrived safely at our place of residence. And then it was almost impossible to leave, there was a crush, taxi drivers also raised their prices. I already heard this from my friends, they were also there, but stayed until the end of the performance. How they got there is another story.

Cons: Incredibly difficult to book tickets online. You have to literally guard the date and availability of tickets.
It is very inconvenient to enter the palace itself on a tour; you stand in a huge crowd, sweating like a mouse, there is no ventilation.
There are a huge number of excursions, the halls are crowded. There is very little time, I want to look at many of the exhibits in more detail.
In general, a trip to Peterhof is an incredibly expensive pleasure. Each park and entrance to any palace or estate must be paid separately.

Pros: very polite staff. You can take pictures and bring water with you. Excellent audio guide in English, my husband loved it. Special thanks to the guide Alexandra (a beautiful woman with a braid). She led the tour very interestingly, with love and expression.

We visited Peterhof with our private guide Nina from Tzarina Tours, who arranged the early entry, although there was still a little queuing. We went by car and stopped at the Narva Triumphal Arch on the way and then returned via the Naval Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Kronstadt before returning to our apartment in SPB. We also stopped for a few photos at the Lakhta Center, an 87-story skyscraper recently built in SPB, on the return journey - the advantages of a private guide.
The palace is as opulent as ever and meets all expectations but if you visit all of the available palaces (we only did the three main ones in SPB) there is a bit of a sameness about them other than colour schemes. As we had plenty of time, we also visited an amazing little baroque church (the Court Church I think) which forms part of the palace complex, but is additional (500 RUB per person I think) to the standard entry ticket. This church is only a couple of rooms but is absolutely covered in gold leaf. And probably due to the extra cost, there were very few other visitors there so plenty of photo opportunities. We also had an extended tour of the gardens but apart from the main fountains, these are not so great.

Of course, the views are beautiful, the queue to the palace is huge, gather groups of 15-20 people and the tour guide ,tells 1.2 minutes, another group comes to its heels, you lean on another group, just can't see anything, wasted time and money.
For pensioners there are no discounts 750 to the park,750 to the palace.
Came by meteor to run around the palace like a herd of horses. Total disappointment.

Peterhoff's radio is proud to write on its website about "accessible environments". Those who have tasted this "Wednesday" on their own skins may not resent the unprecedented audacity of this administration. EVERYTHING from sleazy park rangers to endless breeds EVERYWHERE, including on wheelchair aisles, just screams that people who are not young or healthy are not welcome here. "You have nothing to do in our parks, stay at home and don't hang around!" it's like every employee, every threshold, every unsafe descent says. I advise the administration to search for the remains of their conscience and at least to escape from the site completely false information about the "accessible environment" , and at leisure to get in a wheelchair themselves and try to at least drive somewhere in their park. It wouldn't hurt to have a conversation with the grudge guards. SHAME ON YOU!

Differential entry prices, non-Russians are charged more. No one could explain why. Absolutely overrun with tourists. Musical fountains are simply recorded music. Little more than a park with some buildings. Girl serving at the cafe was telling her friend in Russian how she hates foreigners and wished Stalin was back.

We took the fast boat from Saint-Petersburg which got us there in about 30 minutes. Fast lane to pay for the entry in the park but long line to buy tickets for the palace (we couldn't fine a way to pre-buy online). We gave up after waiting 30 minutes in a line which was moving very slowly. We opted to see a small wing of the palace (to the Right of the main entrance) which had no line and gave us a good idea of what the palace looked like inside.

This is an incredibly beautiful place. Fantanas are like a separate form of art. Walking through these places, you seem to be transported to those ancient times. The beauty of these places is mesmerizing! And the museum itself is fraught with sophistication and grandeur.
I advise everyone to visit this wonderful place.

The majestic palace is part of the town of Petergof, which is about an hour’s drive from the city center. Visitors love the daily turning-on of the Grand Cascade fountain, which sees water shoot out of a golden sculpture and pour down the hillside in time to classical music.

The entry ticket to this palace was 2000 Rubles. It is advised to stay at least half a day there. However, you can spend your full day here. You can walk along the canal to the last point where it meets with the Gulf of Finland.

everything is interesting and beautiful. But the entrance is 1500 rubles. for 1 adult, well, it’s too expensive. Get a family ticket at the right price. In reality, 2 adults + 2 children is already 3500 rubles to get to you. 800 rub. + buy something with. TOO NOT PROFITABLE TRIP.
