Kayaking doubtful sound was a fantastic day, made better by our guides' tips and organisation - drifting under waterfalls and learning about the incredible ecosystem of this area. Specifically, our guide Mark was knowledgeable, calm and friendly and him and skipper Napier made our trip really special. We will remember and cherish our day for a long time. It is hard to put words to the feeling of paddling through the towering green cliff-face walls on shimmering, deep, clear water. Review of: Doubtful Sound Kayak
We enjoyed every single part of this multi-experience day. On the boat ride across Lake Manapouri we saw amazing sights in every direction as it was packed with hills, islands and things to look at. As we drove up and over the steep Wilmot Pass we learnt about the construction of the Manapouri power station and we gasped at the splendid view into Deep Cove. The kayaking in Hall Arm of Doubtful sound was smashing. We tranquility of kayaking gently through the sound getting such an up close look at the plants, geology and ecology of the sounds. Mark, our accomplised guide, ensured our safety at all times and relished telling us the natural history of the place with passion and encyclopedic knowledge. We would do it again for sure. This is the Doubtful Sounds trip to take!…
