Charming but pricey: lovely place, great wines, clear descriptions of process (if a little simplistic) but expensive for what you get.

A pretty good producer of champagnestyle bubbels. Far from soda-like prosecco. Beautiful winery and cellars. Anja can really sell her bubbels ;)

Wine tour was very professional in a stunning cantina. The price is of course too high - charging 25 Euro per person. The availability of tours are managed quite rigidly and you cannot just pop in.

We visited Contratto because it seems to be on everyone's must do list. The winery and adjacent buildings are beautiful and the history of the winery is very interesting. Our tour guide, Luca was very pleasant and knowledgeable. My only reservation is the price for...More

I have been on a lot of winery tours and this was definitely one of the best. The "wine cathedral" cellars are beautiful. Even more amazing is the process of wine making that Contratto practices. The wine is aged in the bottle and every bottle...More

This is a monument you have to see when you come to Piedmont. This is historical. For me the nicest cellar in the region and the best spumante you cabn get.

We were lucky enough to have the BnB owner where we were staying ring and organise it for us. You would definitely need to contact them before turning up for a tour. It was a great tour, very worthwhile!
