Beautiful sandy beach with perfect snack bar a walk away
Beautiful sandy beach keep walking for traditional bar cafe called Praia dos tomates. Traditional food at half the price of the ones at the beginning of the beach. A good walk from the start of the beach, say 30 minutes or so but walking along the sea front with the waves splashing against your feet keeps you cool! You will see it up on the right up half a dozen steps with big parasols. Very friendly too

Lovely public beach suitable for long walks
Lovely public beach suitable for long walks. Gets busy around 10am, but if you come before that you can mostly have the place to yourself. You can rent a beach chair and umbrella for the day if you like, but you can also bring your own. Limited food and beverage options - one small café. Surf school for those inclined, some local surfers. Getting to and from this beach involves plenty of stairs (100+), so it might not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

    Unique beach
A very attractive beach with the colours of the cliffs contrasting with the sands, blue skies and seas. Its an interesting contrast to the golden cliffs and sea stacks of other areas of the Algarve. It reminded me of some remote beaches I'd been to in Western Australia, but here it has resorts around so is much more easily accessed. On a sunny and windless winter's day it was warm enough for the kids to play in the sea, they enjoyed the waves (which may be too rough for younger kids). You can go strolling for some distance in either distance, and at the western end continue on to Olhos de Agua either by hopping rocks at low tide or on pathways above the beaches and rocks at high tide.

    Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful beach. We visited in July and it was never too busy, we loved walking along the waters edge, so peaceful and the cliffs behind the beach are amazing. We loved it so much that we are visiting again in September this year. The best beach we have ever visited.

It was a beautiful summer day and the sun was shining bright. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was soothing and relaxing. I could feel the sand between my toes as I walked along the beach, enjoying the warmth of the sun on my skin. The salty breeze blew through my hair as I sat down on the sand and watched the seagulls fly overhead. It was the perfect day to be at the beach, and I was grateful for the peaceful moments I was able to enjoy.

Just amazing when seen for the first time, walk the beach or hike above it is definitely worth a trip the Praia da Falesia.
Just the combination of ocean and very high hills is wonderful.

Fantastic long beach, peaceful, with lots of magnificent rocks and shells around. Good facilities. Worth it: the drive down to the parking lot is rather steep and narrow.

Very impressive, lots of steps down and back up but it is worth the effort. Once at the bottom the cliffs are a marvel of mother nature, and the walk of the beach at low tide is a great exercise.

Praia da Falésia is a paradise beach located in Algarve, Portugal. With its fine white sand and mesmerizing maroon cliffs, this beach offers stunning natural scenery. The clear and calm sea water is perfect for swimming and water activities. Other activities such as sunbathing under the warm sunshine and strolling along the long coastline make for an unforgettable experience. Praia da Falésia is truly a gem for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty on their beach getaway.

This has just been voted the world's best beach and I can say it totally deserves this accolade. It so clean and lovely to walk along you can spend many an hour here - but remember the sun cream
