A beautiful place to stop by for lunch. Take a walk around the waterfalls and bridge walkways over the rivers. The tiny village and mills have been preserved from the war in the 1990's. Its on the way to Plitvice National Park. Its about 1hr...More

A real picture postcard village, set in the mountains of Croatia. Very quiet at the time of year I visited but I think the autumnal views make for a more beautiful vista.

Worth a visit. A promise of what lies ahead in the Plitvice national Park. The old mill buildings and Autumn colour of the trees made it a pleasant stop.

Beautiful view on the way to Plitvice. Many waterfalls. Good points of view from the road, no extra driving.

Rastoke is a small village sitting over a series of streams and waterfalls. The views of the waterfalls and the houses built amongst the streams are beautiful. In my experience at least it is unique. A glimpse into a traditional lifestyle and culture that is...More

Lovely place, relaxing and refreshing. There are restaurants and bars. Recommended for those who love photography and for families with children.

The most beautiful town with the most picturesque waterfalls. Stop for a cup of coffee at one of the local coffee shops.

Wow..what a huge disappointment this place was! Read so many reviews on how fabulous it was thus we planned an overnight here. After two minutes everything has been seen. While it is quaint with the small waterfalls in town...one pass by on a walk and...More

LOVED visiting this little town. Would recommend seeing the little mill museum with the cover charge.. WELL worth the (small amount of) money. This took us by surprise, great waterfalls and a really enchanting garden after spending the morning with the hordes and the Lakes...More

This is one of the most picturesque towns I've been too in a long while. I've never seen a village that utilised the river as much as they did. They didn't just live next to it, they lived on top of it, the used the...More

Public transport is not very convenient. So best possible way to travel between cities in Croatia is car rental. Rastoke has few hotels and B&B's but there are many good ones on the highway between Zagreb and Plitvice... More

Elissa, if you want to stay in center of Rastoke, use our own Guesthouse Slovin-Unique and wake up looking at the waterfalls.

Hello. It is enough time to visit the place. I think for us it was about 1.5h. I'm not sure if there is any map available but it is so small place that you can basically move around by only looking at the signs.
