A wonderfully historic church that spans the centuries architecturally, with a nice Catalan Gothic arch. Don't usually agree with paying to enter churches, (would rather donate) but made an exception here. The elephant in the room is the lack of information on the relatively bare...More

The alter and entrance porch have some intricate carvings, which are beautiful and interesting - especially the alter. Otherwise, nothing to write home about, it's just another church!

We were staying at a little hotel just down the block. Unfortunately we got there in the late afternoon and left in the morning so we did not have much time in Castello d'Empuries. That evening the church was closed and in the morning it...More

We cycled through and enjoyed popping in. Situated in an impressive old village, had a delicious tomato salad on the square.

Quite a surprising find in the middle of Castello. The Basilica is massive, a truly amazing piece of architecture. Well worth taking the time to take in all the different angles and different parts of the building. My children were in awe of the place.
