Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The premium Barolo experience. If you have time to schedule one wine tasting session in Piemonte, this is where you need to go.
Amazing scenery, very cool facilities and friendly and helpful staff.
Make sure to leave some space in your suitcase for the journey home, the wines are excellent.

Suggestive cellar, very clean, with a spectacular view of the vineyards and surrounding villages. The visit was interesting and fun, Claudio was very good at telling us about the wine (really excellent) and the philosophy of the winery, the time flew by. I highly recommend a visit to this winery.

This was our first experience of wine tasting in this area and was excellent. Our hotel helped by booking and were greeted by our beautiful host who guided us through the process. First a tour of the winery and explanation of how this winery grows and processes the grapes. This was fascinating if you like wine as the differences to other countries and why things are done in this region and this winery was useful background. Then a guided tour of 8-9 wines. All for me were beautiful. Amazing Barolo as part of the tasting. 35 euro was very good value. You can then purchase the wines after. This for me was a standout experience

We had an excellent education and tour in this very sleek and modern winery. The building, views and grounds are architecturally very impressive. Our wine ambassador Claudio spoke very good English and took his time to show us every aspect of the facility.
You really get a feel and understanding of the grapes, region and the difference in Nebbiolo and Barolo wines. Claudio was very generous with the tastings and sharing the history of the winery and region.
I would highly recommend reserving a tasting at this winery.

A really great visit. Claudio was excellent and we learnt a huge amount about the region, it's wines and the vineyard. Could not recommend it more. It goes without saying that the wines were excellent.

My friend and I loved this winery. You do have to book in advance but it was easy to do by email. Noemi was our guide. She was so passionate about her work it was refreshing. She was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and turned on the bottle machine so we could see how it worked. Conterno Fantino seems to be doing things in an environmental way, the landscaping was set up in a very good way to make the best of the land around it. Wines were great really enjoyed them.

Two families Fantino and Conterno who make great wines. Lovely experience and people with a lot of passion fo their work. Claudio was an excellent guide and really made us laugh and learned us way more about the Piëmont wines. Dont hesitate to book a tasting, it was more than delightful. We will come back with friends to do this next year! And we bought some nice Barbera's from Conterno.

Hugely impressed of the facilities, the wines - but most of all of the experience of learning about the wines and the way they are made!
Our guide, Claudio, gave us a description from the truest expert - not a sommelier, but a person who grew up in the area - "the first playground was the vineyard", and the person who makes the wine - and loves it with passion! Our guide patiently not only answered our questions, but also explained, with examples the differences between the (gorgeous) wines they make, and I just loved learning all of this - every minute of it! "We're in Italy - the wines need time to Relax - Slow food!"
By the way - the cheese served on the side was excellent too!
A true Barolo experience!

We had a wonderful tour if this impeccably pristine winery. Elisa is a great guide and you can tell how passionate she is about the family business right away. Originally we had wanted a Saturday visit, but they were fully booked. Luckily we were able to get there on a Friday afternoon and even though we arrived a little late, Elisa couldn't have been more gracious. She took us through the winery and patiently answered all of our questions. This is a wonderful place to get a firsthand view of a winery. Not too big and industrial with a real personal touch. Of course we came away with some wine and will drink it with fond memories of this lovely part of Italy. Highly recommend.
