If you are going to the Cliffs of Moher....DON'T. Or rather, don't park in the car park/visitor's centre as you will 1) have to pay about 8.50 euros per person and 2) be surrounded by hoards of tourists and tour buses. Instead, go to Hags...More

We went to Hag's Head not to see the ruins but to skip the hoards of tourists at the northern end of the Cliffs of Moher. Go here instead, save on parking and skip the crowds.

Here is where the fog broke for us. The water was outstanding! What a wonderful hiking experience. Be sure you wear good hiking shoes!

Everyone knows this is spectacular in sunny weather, but we were there on a rainy, overcast day. It was still amazing! Every now and then the clouds would lift just enough, and it was surreal

If you want a great view of the Cliffs you will want to come to the Hags Head end of the Cliffs. There are less crowds too!

We parked at Kilconnell a private house car park, cost €2. Walked on a great cliff walk and it was all laid out well - except for a rough and unmarked 500 metre patch between the cliffs of Moher and Doolin. Having walked some of...More

We hiked from the visitor's center to Hag's head and back. It was about 8 miles by the wrist monitor. I did not see any shuttles running. I did see a sign for a bus pick-up, but didn't pay much attention to it.
