We were totally put off by the steaming in October, which had a 1940s theme. What we didn't expect was that we'd be surrounded by hundreds of people in military uniform and an array of military vehicles and hardware. We felt very uncomfortable about both...More

This place is worth a visit for Historical value, plenty to see and even better when extra exhibits are available on special weekends i.e. Steam days. The highlight is going down into the reservoir, well worth a day out.

Wanted to see the steam engines working in this ornate pumping station and it coincided with their 1940s weekend. I have to say the place was buzzing with lots of stuff going on for both young and old. A bit of a queue to get...More

Well worth a visit to learn about the history of the pumping station - amazing Victorian building. Sadly it was not a 'steam' day - worth looking at the website to find out special events too.
