My wife and I did the full day E bike ride around Lago Fogo and then observed the geothermal activity at the end of the lake. We rode into town and had a wonderful meal of cozidas, the local stew which is cooked for over six hours in the geothermal heat. What was really cool is that we actually saw the pots that our restaurant was pulling out of the geothermal zone that ended up being served to us for our lunch. While in town, we sampled a couple of the mineral Springs and saw the geyser of corn being steamed in the geothermally heated waters. Next we moved on to Terra Nostra, a beautiful, and very large natural park with truly incredible trees, plants, and flowers as well as geothermal pools that you can get into. The largest pool is a huge mineral fed pool that is an orange brown color and quite warm. It was just delightful. Our guide for the entire day was. Z and he was terrific. We felt completely safe and well cared for. He shared tons of local information and was also just a delightful character to be with. The bikes, themselves, were great. The trip started with a straight up climb out of the town towards the lake. both of us used to be solid bike riders, but this would’ve been a probably prohibitive challenge if we had not had the assist. The bikes had very good suspension and responsive breaks and we both felt completely safe on them even though it had been quite a while since we had last ridden. All in all it was just a wonderful day that we will not forget. Highly recommended if you want to get a very broad slice of everything this region has to offer.

Two hours of fun, with swimming in front of a beach with underwater hot springs, periphery of the islet in front of Vila franca do Campo, after wonderful snorkeling. The beauty of nature made very pleasant by the sympathy and competence of Filipe, very prepared in explanations. Fair price for the quality offered.

We had a trip in Cabrito do salto of 4 hours "canoyoning adventure". Rui and Xavier were nice and helpful and we were very safe in their hands. A lovely day with warm water and beautiful rappelling pieces in waterfalls.

We had a lot of fun kayaking along the coast of Sao Miguel. It's pretty. When we paddled into the islets, that had a different look and feel than the ocean. Our guide was very pleasant. We never felt he was in a rush to get back. I strongly recommend.

Our guide was very friendly and flexible. We did not expect to have almost a private tour to Sete Cidades and nearby attractions. Our hike was just great with lots of amazing views. We even did an extra walk Boca de Inferno. Highly recommend the company.

My husband and I had a wonderful morning with André at Furnas. We met out by the lake (just outside the town) and used the e-bikes to travel about 16 km in total. The e-bikes make it very easy to travel up the hills. André is very friendly and is a great guide. His English is excellent. He spent a lot of time telling us about the islands as well as the fascinating volcanic activity. We feel we saw just about everything in Furnas and even tasted some cheese en route. We did take a number of roads during the tour but felt quite safe. Highly recommend.

Excellent canyoning experience at Ribeira de Salga with guides Rodrigo and Inês. The price is very fair, 85€ for a half-day tour, all equipment included. Totally recommended!
The company is specialized in canyoning so there are a lot of canyons to choose from, so we are spoiled for choice.
Very easy, helpful and quick booking via email before we arrived in São Miguel. Even when we needed to postpone the tour due to very rough whale watching trip with another company, they were very understanding and flexible to rebook, so that we can have the best experience. Really appreciate it!
Even when there were just the two of us, they still ran the tour, so we felt very luxurious like a private tour. The guides are professional, friendly, helpful and assuring. They took good care of us, offering help on challenging steps. The photos and videos they provided are great, too!
Great contact with the whole team, Nicole and Dionísio!

We went on a kayak tour around Furnas lake. Before we left , the communication with Nicole couldn’t have been better. She was on top of the changing weather conditions and was in touch with me prior to the kayaking. We met our guide Dieougo at the lake and he was the warmest, friendliest , and funniest guide. He made the adventure so much fun. A big bonus was that he took pictures the whole time and the next day we received them. A great experience!!!

We were looking for a good sportive mountainbike tour during our stay in Furnas, but didn't find XL mountainbikes/
with azores adventure islands we found a flexible organisation that brought us all and more than we needed : they brought us excellent bikes, picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the rim of the Caldeira, from where we climbed further to the nature reserve of Pico Da Vara up to 1000 meter, where we drove around with excellent guides and than descended to a wonderful Mirador viewpoint in the north east of the island. It was great fun both for me and my suns. beautiful descents on gravel roads through the woods.
From there we drove further around the island to the southeast where we took picknick close to the sea. THe van picked us up and brought us another time higher up in the hills to the reserve, from where we made a second wonderful tour.
Great biking tour with excellent guiding and material!
Have no doubts.
for those who are less fit : You can also do this tour with e- bikes,

The guide catered to our needs and gave us lots of freedom but was not as interpretive as we had hoped. We paddled the coast of the Caloura area for 3 hours as experienced paddlers which was very enjoyable. Note that the weather changes constantly and the PFDs provided did not quite fit us properly (too big). Would go again.

Hi Laura, I´m sorry to reply only know but this email was lost in "unwanted" folder and we can´t understand why. MTB guided tours in Sete Cidades start from 45€. They provide a helmet, long sleeve wetsuit with neoprene socks and canyoning shoes that hold well on the slippery rocks. You just need a swim suit. You park right where you take off, so you can lock your stuff in your car and they will put your keys in their truck glovebox. I wore a wicking shirt underneath to keep the wetsuit away from my skin. No cotton. They will email a form for you to provide your height, weight, and shoe size. Go up a half size on shoes because of the Sox. If your a woman that is large up top like my wife, you may tell them so they go up one on the wetsuit also. They take pictures and email you a link as part of the trip, so don't worry about a camera.
