    Beautiful
We visited this beautiful spot today and were in awe of the beauty and architecture of the amazing big buddha! There is also great 360 views once at the top and some cute little souvenir shops at the bottom. Please just remember to dress appropriately and respectfully ;)

Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai Bofhut Thailand
Went as part of a guided tour. You would need a guide to understand some of the history and symbolism. Found it very interesting, glad we included it in our trip to Thailand. Easy to book a tour at local hotels.

    Worth seeing !!
It is one of the main attraction in Koh Samui. This beautiful 40 feet tall statue was built in 1972 on Koh Fan island which was attached to Koh Samui subsequently. Buddha is religious GOD of Thai culture. One should dress properly before visiting. A little respect is expected. If you sit quietly for few minutes then mind becomes very calm in this serene ambiance. In the afternoon the steps become very hot. There are quite a few souvenir and local food stalls nearby in the temple complex. Not to be mised...

The temple has a large Buddha statue. The sun is a little hot, being close to the sea, it's hot at noon. Bring your family to worship

Nice Buddha location. However, very touristic and crowded. I would say ok to go there as it is one of the most famous ones in Ko Samui.

‘‘Twas such a great experience. At first we thought ‘‘twas far, however it turned out to be meters away from Bangrak market and also I bought pair of shirts for my nephew from the shops beneath the temple. The place is nice and peaceful.
