Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Called in on our way up to the East Cape in Feb and bought some macadamias - wow, best macadamias ever! Bought a couple of the larger packs to take away and got some freshly roasted hot salted macadamias to take with us on our trip - well they were all eaten before we got to the East Cape! So very fresh, tasty and moresh! I am now a regular customer buying the large packs online. Always fresh and sent very quickly. Highly recommend these macadamias if you are a fan of them like me - you will not get any better!

Great place to stop for a nice coffee. Very friendly people. Beautiful shaded garden with lots of tables and chairs. The homemade macadamian icecream with chocolate was extremely good. Would definitely go back.

We had a lovely morning coffee in the garden of this Mac nut shop. There are beautiful views across the water, and plenty of shady seating. my husband was keen to learn about the process of harvesting the macadamias and the staff were happy to answer his questions. Lovely nuts too!

We stopped off for a coffee and macadamias on our East Coast tour. This café and shop was just so beautiful, the views from the café garden were just so amazing. The coffee was so smooth and I am incredibly fussy and their slice was the best I have had. The apricot and macadamia was just so tasty. Friendly, kind service. The spicy macadamias we bought to takeaway, I so wish I had bought more they really were best nuts I have ever eaten. We did a 3 week tour and I have lots of reviews to write, but did this one first as it is a must stop if you are in the area. I would do the long drive just to come here.

A great place to stop for coffee and anything macadamia while travelling along the coast. The views are stunning and the coffee well worth stopping for. We stocked up with 8 bags of chocolate macadamias. Yum.

It’s a beautiful spot, looking out through the pohutukawas at the bay below. The ice cream was good, hot chocolate a bit average. Worth stoping just to relax for a while.

Not worth a trip from Opitiki but if you're closer by or passing through worth a stop. Nice café and good view.

Great little plantation just 1km off the road with very pretty shady grounds. The owners are obviously passionate and proud of their business and we're happy to explain about their products. The macadamia ice cream is truly a must, freshly made and delicious.
