Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love to visit Lonavala, Khandala from Pune at afternoon and drive till this point at the time of sunset. At this point Old Mumbai-Pune highway crossed above the new Expressway. I love this point and love to stand at the old Mumbai-Pune highway which is just above the Expressway. There are few stalls available there, you may try corn pakoda with tea during watching the sunset. Best season to visit is monsoon and winter.

This spot is also known as sunset point. Its just two minutes walk from Monkey Point. As the name implies you can enjoy sunset. Usually all the sunset points will be at sea. But here you can see the sun going behind the hill. The view of the nature is awesome. But what I enjoyed most is the meeting of Mumbai - Pune highway and expressway. The view of the roads from top will catch your attention. So we may forget to look at the sun. We will be confused by two roads and won't be able to differentiate between two. We can sit there and enjoy the view by having tea and snacks from local shop.
I will rate this spot as the best place in Khandala. I visited this place in dry season. If you are able to visit this place in monsoon, then it will be more beautiful. You can enjoy the fog and greenery. As its a sunset point, after 6pm is the best time.

This spot can only be seen if you travel in Old Mumbai-Pune highway in Khandala. This is a place where the old highway and expressway cross each other or one is above the other

This place is the best view for the heavy traffic which moves towards Khapoli. If you are a photo enthusiast then you should stand here to watch the traffic and get some amazing shots of the moving traffic. Its best viewed in the monsoon and the winters where fog is the best thing you can see between the vehicles. In winter dont forget to carry your jacket as the fog is damn cold and the mist can make you wet and sick at times.

Also popularly known as sunset point because of exquisite visual of sunset. The place is very refreshing especially during the light rainy season. You can get a nice view of your photo shoot here.

I listed in Feb (an off season), so I did not find anything great about this place. But you definitely get a good view of the Express ways from here. In monsoon, the experience is far better.

First thing first - trip adviser need to change it name, its 'Sunset Point'. You can see it when you travel from Lonavala to Mumbai through old road. If you are staying in Lonavala you can ask for sunset point, or look for old mumbai road.
You can see wonderful sunset from here, and enjoy hot tea, pakoda, butta....(Corn)....
Its amazing experience to see full sun, disappearing in fraction of minutes.
Tips: If you intend to come back to lonavala, dont park vehicle too low from sunset point, you wont be able to reverse it since its one way. You will have to drive all the way to bottom of hill and take u turn and climb through other road.
Be on left hand side of road, many vehicles come from right side going back to Lonavala.
Check sunset time and ensure you are there 20-30 minutes prior....
