The Vaitarna Dam in Nashik, Igatpuri is definitely a sight to behold. The dam also doubles up as a decent place for a good picnic spot with family and friends. Make sure you visit it when you are Igatpuri.
The lake is huge. hence the view is worth the drive. The drive across the lake - a narrow bridge offers good view on both sides. Not just the view point, but places nearby are also good. Can be a good picnic spot. Good winds.

Had heard about it as a child and the visit was worth it. its stretches from nasik highway to virar side too . you dont get a great view too near but ts understandable as it is a water reservoir and needs protection. beautiful location
