Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hiked for two days in the Usambara Mountains. It was a great experience for us. We loved it. Baraka is a very experienced guide and has a lot of knowledge. He was very welcoming and friendly. We felt very comfortable from the beginning. He showed us the most beautiful places. We learned a lot about the nature and culture of Tanzania.
I would recommend this trip one hundred percent.

Our three days hiking trip in the ussambara mountains, together with baraka, was a great experiance. I can definitely recommend! Baraka organized everythink, included delicious food, drinks and good accomodations.
He has a huge knowledge about the ussambara mountains and the tanzanian culture. So we were able to dive deep into the tanzanian culture. Furthermore we felt very comfortable during our whole trip! We enjoyed the ussambara mountains and the incredible landscape a lot! It is definitely woth it to visit lushoto together with baraka!
Asante sana baraka, tulifurahia lushoto sana. Tunataka kurudi lushoto na tanzania na kukutana tena rafiki!

i did a 3-day-hiking-tour (lushoto-lukozi-rangwi-magumba) with baraka during my time volunteering in moshi.
i think these days may have been the best ones i had in the two months that i spent in tanzania. apart from the landscape in the usambara mountains, baraka is the best guide i could have thought of.
as he grew up with the knowledge from his father about the usambara mountains, he could answer every single question (most of the time without even asking a question hahhahah).
we also had great conversations about a lot of topics. most of the time i felt like walking with a friend more than with a guide.
but we could also just walk next to each other for hours without speaking. so both of us could enjoy the nature with all our senses.
i would definitely recommend going with baraka as a guide. i might also do it again someday.

Baraka is an honest and knowledgeable guide. I did two hikes with him - the first was a two day hike from Mambo to Lushoto and the second was a day hike around Lushoto. I had a lot of local interaction on both hikes thanks to Baraka. Incredible scenery on both hikes and he found a lot of the two horned chameleons on the way. Baraka takes great pride in his local community and will be happy to show you around. I can't wait to get an opportunity to go on another hike with him. I highly recommend him.
