Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A good experience with Saunuel Mgweno in Lushoto, good welcome and super nice person with his college! We had a full day experience around Lushoto, starting in Kinsasa water falls, then we went to irente viewpoint (an amazing views in the whole area) , then we climb through Maganba forest and then they take me to one village to try the local beer (made from sugar cane), the best experience to get involved in the culture itself. I definitely recommend him and his team to get around the area in Tanzania. Thank you very much for such a good experience!

We had the best time hiking in the Usambara mountains. Musa was so nice, knew a lot of interesting things about the nature and the culture in this area. he let us know all the options and all the information and to choose what we want our trip will look like. We had a great time with Samuel Mgweno walking in the countryside of Lushoto. We had only two days but he arranged a nice trip to Mtae, crossing a lot of villages and beautiful landscape. Samuel is very good at birdwatching, knows a lot about the Tanzanian culture and traditions - and like to share it. Thanks a lot!

We went on a one day hiking trip with Samuel Mgweno (tel:+255784657028, email: Samuel been of gmail.com). We were immediately fascinated by his vast knowledge on the town of Lushoto and the surroundings. We chose to visit Magamba rainforest up the hill which was a moderate hiking trail.
Samwel really taught us a lot about the wildlife and the plant species in the rainforest and the Greater Lushoto Area. It was fun to be with him and for those interested he is a great Kiswahili teacher too.
If we will come to Lushoto again, we will definitely check out another tour!

Very often we think back of our fantastic 3-day slow hike in the wonderful Usambara mountains in November 2017. Now we finally share this here how fantastic it was because of our dedicated guide Francis Lucas who triggered us with his great passion for that region. It was so nice to take time for looking around, talking with Francis and all the people we met a long the way. Incredible how he kept conjuring the best food from his small backpack. If you planning to go to Lushoto and want to enjoy a walk and maybe an adventurous bus ride in the great Usambara mountains, than this is your man. (Francis Lucas, whatsapp +255 764 576 797)
Please give him a big hug from us.

We had 4 days trip with Mussa which was amazing!
The Usambara mountains are just beautiful and highly recommended.
We stayed in very nice places and ate great food all the trip.
Mussa is very interesting guy with great stories and he knows a lot about the culture of the people in Usambara mountains.
On each village on the way he took us to local restaurants to drink chai ya maziwa.
He made a lot of effort to make us happy and always made sure we have everything we need.

Very good tour organizers!

After arriving in Lushoto we arranged a half-day hike with Tayodea Tours to the Kisasa Waterfalls. The staff at the office was very friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate our small budget. Our guide, Samuel, was amazing! During the half day trip he pointed out several plants and animals on our path, including a chameleon and even a black mamba!

Would definitely Tayodea Tours!
