Just a beautiful place. We went for the wildlife and it certainly didnt disappoint. The seafront is full of character and the ice cream shops are sublime. I would highly recommend this little gem.

A long unspoilt promenade along the marshes makes an very pleasant place to walk. Look out for birds and wildlife. It has the added bonus of seeing Wales across the estuary

can get very packed at weekends in the summer so parking can be hard .Always nice to park on one of the Wirral way car parks and take a stroll

We went by car and were not aware of there being a rail station at Parkgate. Check with rail company online. Bound to be one nearby.

I think if you get off at Neston (or Heswall) the 22 goes via Parkgate. If you have a look on the Merseytravel website you should be able to get the info there about the route operated by Avon. Hope you enjoy Parkgate... More
