Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We dropped in for some information and were helped by a very nice young lady who instantly had a heap of information on everything Taumaranui and surrounding areas have to offer.

She very efficently made a booking for us. These guys deserve credit for their efforts and doing everything possible to grow tourisim in this area.

This info centre goes the extra mile. What a pleasure to deal with. Personally I dealt with Waitangi regarding accommodation. She enquired about our budget, the people in our group, their ages and therefore what would work, plus why we were coming to the area. She then personally phoned the accommodation venue for us to check on availability, came back to me via phone, did all the booking details and emailed copies to all parties. She was clear in her processes and in how long it would take her to get back to me. When she did cal back she had sourced an alternative package due to availability. An absolute pleasure to work with. Nothing was too much. Fun and lively. Knew her products. Was generous of heart, spirit and knowledge. Can’t wait to meet her and her counterparts in person when we arrive. Thank you Waitangi.

We went into the i-Site to see the Raurimu spiral model. Not 1 staff member stood up or greeted us when we walked in. We watched the train and whilst we were in there not 1 time did the staff make any attempt at any kind of conversation. It wasn’t inviting at all

Disappointing seeing as it is the busy time of the year. Peak season for the I-Site and for Taumarunui.

Please don’t ever go there. It is the very worst place I have ever been. I would rather go to Aleppo than go back to Taumarunui.

I found myself with an extra day at the end of the timber trail in Ongarue and phoned the taumaranui I site to organise a day in the heart of the king country.
The friendly young Maori maiden recommended a place to stay and a few activities that helped while away a beautiful spring day's

All the i-Sites are wonderful; though the staff here was even more wonderful. They put up with our many questions around weather and the Tongoriro Crossing. Definitely would recommend stopping by for information and hello planning your trips.
