This tree defies all odds - its growing in a large granite boulder. Located midway through Porongurup National Park it's worth a trip up there if you're looking for somewhere to have a picnic. It's just a short walk from the picnic ground.

Interesting phenomenon here for which there is no mystery in the title. Good picnic area near by and toilet facilities too.

Nice short walk to the tree. If you like you may take some bushwalk as well or have some rest at the day use area. Not far from castle rock (Granite Skywalk)

Tree in a rock seems to really be scraping the barrel to me. As it happens, since seeing it I've noticed several trees growing on top of rocks in all sorts of places! But the picnic area is pleasant.
