My wife and I have recently moved to Albany and are in the process of completing all the hikes and walks in the Porongorup and Stirling Ranges. Mt Trio is a harder walk than Bluff Knoll as the track is much steeper and less maintained....More

The first 2/3 of Mount Trio climb is a steep set of steps cut into the side of the mountain, the last 1/3 is a pleasant walk trough scrub offering amazing views.

The winery does not have its own page. The owners are delightful and the wines are really good and the view includes this peak. The winery is on Porongurup Road and worth the visit.

Lovely hike with great views from near the top ( it was cloudy at the peak). We did this in the afternoon after climbing Bluff Knoll in the morning.

A nice quiet hike just over 3km. It's pretty steep for the first half and then flattens out. Allow 2 to 3hrs (including time to have a break/food). Nice view of Bluff Knoll from the top.

Spectacular scenery! Be sure to have sturdy footwear on so you can explore all the tracks in the area.

We enjoyed our stay here, even though the weather was not good. You self register for , and pick your own campsite. There are no cabins, so it is only suitable for caravans and tents. The amenities blocks have washbasins from an old railway station...More
