This pier really needs an overhaul. It looks dirty, oily and just generally run down. Too many fruit machines and not enough attractions. A couple of the larger grab machines have the usual stuffed toys, but Olaf the snowman looks as though he has been...More

For young kids will appear is great with lots of small rides. Went there today for a six-year-old birthday and it's very tired and I'm sure the end of the pier will fall down within the next decade. What I did make the mistake of...More

I visited this pier with my mam and grannie and Gwindar in July. It was my first holiday. We went in the amusements and played ten pin bowling in the pier pub. The staff in the bar were very nice and a big shout out...More

The pier is open to all (dogs must be on leads). There is the usual assortment of arcade entertainment plus dodgems and rides for young and old. There is small bowling alley and bar. It feels a bit run down and like it has seen...More

Lots of the planking looks very rotten and needs replacing. The pier needs major investment to replace the old wood and worn nails. Fun fair and gaming machines ‘attractions’ also look outdated and sad. The whole town needs renovating to attract new visitors.

Entry to the pier is free and prior to this there is a mini fair with various children’s rides which you have to buy a £10 band for unlimited rides. It’s a tad run down and could do with refurbishment.

The pier is free to enter, and has a mixture of slot machines, ten pin bowling, kids rides, cafes and a pleasant long walk to the end of the pier, where some people were fishing, and the lifeboat is tethered. It was mid week so...More

Quaint wooden lanes and terrific seafront views makes this a unique bowling experience for the daytripper or holiday maker. Good food and drink to choose from too.

I have just returned from a holiday near Walton-on-the-Naze, and yes, you can take dogs on the pier.
