We came across the planet walk sculptures completely by accident when we noticed them scattered around along part of our walking route. The sculptures are all within a few steps from the path. Every sculpture (planet) is well signposted and explained on plaques. There is...More

Really worth the hike. You can cover the distance you wish and turn back at any time discovering the solar system as you stroll along. A little funicular will rush you to the start of the tour. Do take the time if you are in...More

We are a keen walking family, but despite that, this made our walk even better. It gives you an idea of the immense scale of the universe- it is mind-boggling really. We did try to find Pluto and were disappointed not to, but we did...More

Reached the Sentier des planètes with "funiculaire" from St Luc. The Sentier des planètes shows all the planets re-creating the real distance between each on a lower scale. Beautiful walk with breath taking sceneries. Very peaceful.

Wheelchair accessible on the main path for first 30 minutes and return makes an enjoyable 1 hour stroll. Stunning views of the mountains. Display of the planets are not accessible however, being in the high mountains make up for it.

We rode our bikes on this trail to Zinal Glacier wanderweg. Mostly an easy grade with some steeper pitches. Awesome views. Exposed to weather so check forcast and dress appropriately.

Wilderness, thousands of flowers, very few travelers, not too difficult to walk, a funny visit of our planets, roaring streams, peace.

The walk is flat and easy from the sun until Uranus. The rest of the path was still covered by snow in June so we went down back to Saint-Luc after Uranus. You can download information on the planets from the "sentier des planetes" web-site...More

Easy access via funicular. Lovely and easy walk, you can do as much as you want at your own pace. We have dome two different lengths according to conditions and have enjoyed stunning vistas both times.
