For exceptional views over Hawera, this iconic water tower is definitely worth a visit. Part of the town's history, this tower is recognisable.

A great thing to do with the family, costs very little, try to do it on a clear day.You really get a birds eye view with a 360 degree lookout.

For a small entrance fee, it's worth the hike up the 200+ steps to get near the top of this historic water tower. With 360 views around Hawera and beyond, it's a great way to be elevated in this relatively flat town.

A steep climb will take you to the viewing platform where on a good day you will have an excellent view of Mount Taranaki, the township of Hawera and the coast out to sea
