We visited Cape Maeda right after Typhoon Trami and Kong-Rey and the views were spectacular. The sea was still very rough and the waves were crashing on the rocks, so there was no diving that day. But it was beautiful to sit there and enjoy...More

Pretty picture lookout with clear blue water down below. Lots of snorkel and diving activities take place here. Car park cost 100 JPY. There’s small food court serving some basic local cuisine.

For all divers this place is one of the more famous diving sites. However it gets quite crowded at times.. For a better experience, best to go in low peak period.

Unless you book in advance with diving school. Can't relax on beach, many other options in Okinawa, especially if you just want snorkeling. Even the locals said these days, too crowded. The spot was not designed for huge population.

This is the best snorkeling experience I've never had. The blue cave is so beautiful and swim into a cave is absolute unusual experience. There're so many fishes out side the sea. Nice place! We'd like to go again!

Tourism has hammer this reef. If you're new to diving or snokelling, you may not know the difference, but only the toughest corals have survived here. This is not what a healthy reef looks like. But if the damage here means that other reefs on...More

Great place to explore on sunny day - walk down to the rocks, let the kids play but be careful on the sharp rocks. Head down to the beach & rock pools. Spend a hour or 2 & finish off with a cold drink or...More

The water is cold so you will need a wet suit. Easy to rent all your diving supplies once you get there.
