We arranged snow shoeing for an afternoon and it was a lot of fun. Our guide took us to a beautiful spot in the mountains and we walked through the cedar forest for a couple of hours. Very relaxing in the forest, but a few big hills to walk up made you feel good when we stopped for a cup... More

We have visited Japan for the first time this year in January which was a dream come true for myself and my husband. We are a young (30-40) couple who travels the World all year round and therefore collecting memorable experiences is a regular routine for us. Hakuba was our second resort after Niseko and the snow conditions have inspired... More

I attended two days of snowboarding lessons (level 3-4) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a different instructor each day and learnt lots from both of them. They were both lovely and genuine guys who were very patient and ensured that we got what we wanted from the lessons. They also encouraged us to have fun. My partner did an... More

Keeping it safe and thrilling, layering with insights into mountain culture here in Japan and worldwide, Evergreen guide Robbie Chmelyk led us through the Hakuba backcountry and kept our small group happily whooping and shredding the extraordinary snow for which Hakuba is renowned. Friendly office staff attended to all my prebooking questions and provided excellent logistical support.

Flexible/accomodating organisation, especially compared to other such agencies. They provided the best guides who cared for their clients and were very aware of avalanche dangers. I've done lot of offpiste skiing, but had the best 2 day ever in Tsugaike and Cortina- thanks to the guide. They split the group to fit with experience, yet had enough guides to make sure... More

I did my first private backcountry trip with Evergreen in 2014 and was lucky enough to have a bluebird day in the Tsugaike backcountry with Robbie as my guide. That day was spectacular and I promised myself when I returned to Japan I would do another backcountry trip with Evergreen. I returned in January 2017 and booked another trip and... More

I attended Hakuba last week and had very enjoyable group ski lessons with Evergreen. I had several instructors however the main one that I skied with was Simon. Simon was very patient with his class and directed individual attention to each group member. I had fun and felt that I learned a great deal. Class size varied from 7 on... More

My daughter and I had 3 straight days of private ski lessons with Evergreen. Our instructor Petra has been great and she turned us from beginners to competent skiers. Thank you Petra! The only thing to consider is that Evergreen's centre is bit out of the way so our first morning was a little bit of scrambling. Other than that,... More

We had a great first skiing experience with Evergreen. Kat (from England) our instructor gave us plenty of clear direction and we both learned heaps in the two 2 hour lessons. The groups were small (only my girlfriend and I in the second session)! We think you would need to be fairly fit to do the full day as a... More

We used Evergreen last year for snowboard lessons with Quentin and also went on a backcountry day with Robbie. Lessons were super helpful, we have two half day sessions at the start of the week just to refresh. Quentin took time with us and looked out for bad technique. Back country with Robbie was incredible! We felt safe and informed... More
