Delicious Yubari Melon Slices and Melon Buns
Oct 2019
This place is more for food and melons rather than as an attraction for sightseeing.

It is located next to the Farm Tomita, but bear in mind that food bought here cannot be brought over and consumed inside Farm Tomita. There is also an outlet selling Japanese curry rice dishes although we did not try it.

Try the Yubari Melon slices and melon buns, the melon slices are fresh and juicy while the melon buns are crispy on the outside and rich in flavour on the inside.

From Nakafurano train station, we took a taxi that cost slightly less than 700 yen to reach this place.

One of my favourite place for melon. A place not to be missed. Still one of the best melon in Hokkaido. The cafe and bakery sells very good melon pastry ans the burger is good too.

Great place for pictures esp with great weather. The melons are super juicy and nice. Did not manage to do much at the farm but would not mind to revisit the place for the melon.

large crowds and not a lot to see, except melons and lavender
Jul 2019
Easy to get to, train from Furano station, then follow the painted lavender path from the station. Not much to see here except Melons.

This is just next to Tomita farm so is a no brainer to visit and feast on the melon. HOwever like i mentioned in my previous post , if you drive or is a good walker , there are many many meon farm just 20 min down the road. We chance upon one that has a nice open area with tables and chairs and parking space. There, half a melon only cost 500yen!!!!! yippie ! It was so shiok digging into the sweet fruit and thinking how much we save !

Melon paradise!
Aug 2018 • Family
This is the place to go to for all things melon-related. There are really juicy and sweet melons (both orange and green flesh), ice-cream and other sweet treats, and pastries like cake and biscuits that you can buy home. The melons are easily the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a clean and comfortable place to sit at as well, if you choose to sample some. With Farm Tomita just across the road, it’s definitely worth making a stop here.

Try delicious melon
Aug 2018 • Friends
Look out for coupons that can take off 100¥ from a slice of 300¥ melon. Extra juicy and delicious!
Also visit the pastry shop above and try their delicious melon bun. Delicious bread with lots of melon cream within! Yummy

Very crowded.
Jul 2018
Tables at the ice cream and melon cafetaria were not cleaned because it runs on the Japanese system that you clean your own tray, clear your own rubbish. Many chinese tourists are still unaware of this. So the eating tables will remain dirty for other patrons.

Enjoy eating Melons... that’s about it?
Jul 2018
It’s more a good stop than an attraction? You don’t get to learn a bit more about how they make their melons so sweet and juicy, and you don’t get to see the farm. But you get to enjoy a variety of rather pricey-ish melon related products that are very well made.

Good to stop by if you are heading to the lavender farm next door.
