There are a number of Cathar Castles, but this is one of the more interesting ones, because it has a tower with three medieval halls on three levels, beautifully preserved. Well worth the 5 euro entry fee.

It's well worth the trip to see this chateau, which has been extensively preserved. The Musicians hall, chapel and dining room inside the grand tower have real atmosphere. It's a shame there's not more explanation of Cathar history available onsite.
