A staple of the local Manchester beer scene, this is a characterful place full of characters. Bar staff seem to know all the regulars which is a good start. Good beer at a very good price too.

Old and traditional - no gimmicks - just a great old style place. Full of characters - if I drew them, you would think that I had made them up! Enjoy.

Proper people, proper beer.....proper. Highly recommend if you want to see what a real English pub is not a plastic "bar". Go before they all disappear.

I walked over on the strength of other reviews on other sites. It's a nice place. Beer is very reasonably priced. Staff seems friendly. Overall the "vibe" is authentic for those looking for a British pub experience. Great jukebox music the night I was there...More
