On one of Norway's scenic routes, this lovely stop is an exquisite piece of architecture, the cafe has simple but lovely Norwegian food, with unbelievable views in every direction. Grab a snack, go for a hike, and enjoy!

This grand wonder of nature is worth stopping for on your way over the mountains to or from Trollstigen to Valldal- Geiranger- Ålesund and so on. Walk the path, have a cinnamonbun, have pitstop on your way. Close by you will also find other exciting places to visit such as Juvet Landscape hotel and the historic Nikkahuset.

Great stop to see the raging river. We took the time to walk around a bit and found some nice spots along the river. Had an ice cream in the cafe just by the waterfall. The parking places here are pretty narrow

The hole place has been vandalized beyond recognition by a large scale tourist machine that resembles an unlikely combination of a Disney attraction waiting area and a junk yard. A cafe that most of all resembles a Birmingham suburb from the 70s, only adds to the disaster.

It’s worth a quick stop between Valldal and Trostigen. The waterfalls were beautiful so were the surrounding area. There was a visitor centre with a cafe but unfortunately it was closed possibly due to the low number of visitors during Covid-19 pandemic.

Amazing location. Free WC. Loved the modern rustic design of the walk ways (although be careful of slipping). Parking lot is small. Lots of trails to take. Canteen closed due to Covid.

Very cool attraction, built in the same style as the Trollstigen visitors centre. The iron walk bridges are designed in a way that gives you the impression of walking between tree-tops in the jungle. There is also a café/visitors centre, but it was closed probably due to Covid-19 and seemed rather unattended because unfortunately the waste bins were flooding with waste. Luckily we came to the visitors centre at the end of the walk (we started at the parking lot on the top), otherwise we might have got a different impression of the site and by far a less positive experience.

This is a must see river before going up to Trollstige. It will only take some minutes to see the area so this is a good stop for travelevers. There’s a cafe but it was close during our visit, most probably due to COVID

A worthwhile stop! Our tour bus stopped here for a restroom break on the way to Trollstigen. In addition to the restroom buildings, there is a modern looking cafe with glass walls with great views of the ravine. Since Valldal is known for its berries I spotted small jars (TSA sized!) of jams for sale in the cafe including the famous cloudberry jam which was a great find! Unfortunately, I did not have time to try the delicious looking cinnamon buns.
We walked the winding pathway through the ravine to view the rushing river below that formed very interesting rock formations. Each turn of the path offers different water views-some very deep areas, as well as shallower ones. Good photo area.
At the end of the pathway, before boarding the bus, a vendor had containers of fresh local berries for sale. Tip: carry some local currency with you.
