It's really old olive tree, surrounded by well kept lawn, so you can sit under the tree and feel it's energy.

So special because of its great age,at least 1500 years.Nice to feel the texture of its bark.Clearly treated with great love and respect because of its history:despite the gate not being locked at night,it remains in a lovely condition. We visited it on a Wine Tour and we passed it several times during our walks. Some of the olives fallen from its branches I have kept as a souvenir of our visit.

You either appreciate these things ir you don't. This lovely old tree is a survivor and one wonders what history it has 'seen,' It's nice that it has been preserved and it has survived so many wars.

This olive tree is fascinating and they say it is at least 1500 years old. This tree is so old you can hide inside its trunk. Also, trunk has some nice texture, very inspirational.

Set aside in its own field it’s lovely this is still kept. The olive tree is huge and still provides olives.
The field is in the middle of a residential area and anyone can go into the field. Would visit if also going into Kastela.

Starting from Stari Kastel the walk along the sea front to the Old Olive tree was a pleasant 40min stroll. You can walk faster along the main road but nothing to see so keep it scenic.

The tree itself is, as you would expect for something 1500 years old, impressive however as it's an olive tree it does not grow to massive size so don't expect an oak.

The tree is in a little plot of land next to the school but fenced off. Although it seems to be set up as a space you can enter, the gate was locked so we couldn't get it. You can see the tree clearly but it's about 30m away from gate so you can't really appreciate it fully.

Still it's a beautiful specimen, however if you have kids they probably will go wow and then want to leave after 30 seconds (unless the gate is open and you can get closer)

Declared a Natural monument in 1990.
It is assumed to be planted by the Romans, it still produces the fruit.
It isn't the most spectacular thing to see but it still has a great value, so if you are nearby, I recommend visiting it.
