Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had seen the paddle boards and had thought about it a few times, then push came to shove and thought we'd give it a go. Its ADDICTIVE. We loved it. Primary school Grandaughter started off with me on mine and after about ten minutes was on her own one. can't justify buying one so will certainly be factoring it into the budget as a beach activity.

My girlfriend & I had a blast with Milan doing the SUP w/ water taxi. We boarded the water taxi in Marahau, and boated out to Water Cove. Water Cove is a small beach, where we had a nice sack lunch, from Park Café. Afterwards, we headed south on our boards back to Marahau boat ramp. We had great weather! The last mile got a little troublesome with the wind, but we made back fine.

Me and two friends had always wanted to try paddle boarding so we thought what better place to try it than Kaiterteri. It was a lovely hot day when we decided to try something different. The man there hiring them was a laugh and gave us great tips on how to paddle board. It was so much fun , loved every minute of it and i recommend trying it. It is easier than I thought it would be and i am useless at balancing on things so i was amazed that I didn't fall off.

Today we did a one hour self guided paddle board tour of marahau in Abel Tasman. Very easy to master and lots of fun. You get to see much more than kayaking too. Milan was great and explained everything in advance.

This is something that we had planned to do for so long and we were not disappointed. Kelvin was extremely patient with a couple of ‘older youngsters’ and took time to getting us going. With plenty of encouragement we were both up and way in no time. We highly recommend Abel Tasman Paddle boarding, go on give it a go!

Finally on my 2nd to last day in NZ I got to paddleboard. I had been cancelled on in Rotorua and it got too windy on my 2 other attempts. I called Kahu Kayaks that gave me Kelvin's number and I easily set up a tour with him for early the next morning. He picked me up in Marahau and we went to Little Kaiteriteri Beach to set off. Perfect weather, no waves or wind, exactly what I had been wanting to experience. We paddled from there to Split Apple Rock and back with a few breaks on beaches. Kelvin was a great guide and a pleasure to spend the morning with. I brought my own little dry bag with me to hold my camera and water and a snack since I hadn't had breakfast yet. But he brings you everything you need to paddleboard, and takes pictures for you that he then shares on facebook. Worked out great.

Highly recommended!! Thank you so much!

Totally fun, amazing, interesting, easy-learning and relax activity. I highly recommend people visit here should try this!!!My brother and I had a fun time with Kelvin and lovely weather in little Kaiteriteri. Everything is perfect.Kelvin is so so so nice and patient! He likes his job and takes it seriously. When he found that we could lose our glasses if we fall into the sea. He tried a lot to keep our glasses safe. Thus, we had handmade belts to tight our glasses just in case we fell down from board. Even though I fell down from board a few times, had some salty water, it didn't reduce my passion.Enjoyed stunning blue sky, cozy breeze, beautiful weather, and lovely people on my board, what more could I ask for? By the way, Kelvin, learning paddleboard did helped for kayaking.

We had an excellent half day with Kelvin learning to paddle board and it was awesome and we can't wait to go out on the water again! None of us had surfed or tried anything like this before, and within 1/2 hour we all were able to get around and take in the beauty of the Abel Tasman National Park which is stunning. Kelvin is a top guy, and even dropped my sunglasses off after I left them in my life jacket! Highly recommend everyone to try.
