This entire church is decorated by the young artist Jesus Mateo, and you may enter as part of a guided tour around town. Extremely interesting!

We happened to stumble into this place and were amazed at the large murals painted on the walls and ceilings. It was beautiful inside. It was very relaxing and truly a nice place to sit and enjoy the quiet.

It was the only church I could go into, in Alarcón, without booking on the twice daily tour, that would only be in Spanish. For 3 euros I got to see the most amazing modern style art, covering all the walls and ceilings. Best money...More

The interior of this disused church has been transformed by the artist with huge stunning murals. It's 3 Euro per person for entry. Really impressive.

A riot of colour, with style that builds on the Spanish traditions of Picasso, Miro and Dali, with a hint of Chagall! Well worth the €3 entrance - open on Sunday afternoons and several other days.

If you could paint the inside of an ancient church, what would you do? Thus space is reminiscent of ancient cave paintings. "Primordial," and "the universal unconscious" seem apt descriptions. Not what I'd want to see every day, but fascinating.

Surprising gem. We had no idea this was in Alarcón and stumbled upon it completely by accident. Well worth a visit. Breathtaking.
