Beautiful man made forest . Not many vehicles pass through. Good for photo ops. Social media shots . Don’t miss stopping in this passageway made into an attraction.

The Scenic Man-Made Forest of Bohol

Was planted by local school children , as a school project

Planted from 1956 - 800 hectares

Gladly this beautiful forest wasn’t affected by devastating Typhoon Yolanda in 2013

This is a 1 Km man made Mahogany Forest. The mahogany trees were planted way back in 1972. After more than 48 years, the trees have grown tall and majestic. It is a nice place to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature. If Kyoto has its bamboo forest in Arashimaya, Bohol has its Mahogany forest.

Like inside a Gothic Cathedral the branches are meeting in the sky forming green arches. Indeed beautiful forest. It was nice to see how people paid back what they did to the nature.

Based on our local guide, we stopped in the forest for a while and saw huge trees which Europeans cannot see every day. It was a nice break in the shadow from the trees.

I am used to human made forests from my own country, but I found this surprisingly impressive. Really beautiful trees. I hope their protection lasts.

This basically a forrest and not very interesting. The forest is an area cut down of trees in the past and then replanted. I wouldn't make a trip just for this place, but it works great as short stop to stretch your legs (specially if driving a motorcycle).

We didnt seek this place out but you will most likely drive through it going from loboc river to the chocolate hills.
Really its just a road with some tall tress.
as your driving you will have everyone jumping out of your way while they try to get a selfie.
