When I visited Porto in September 2016, the aquarium was closed. The lady offering tickets to the Genovese tower explained to me that the aquarium had permanently closed, as the upkeep was too expensive.

We cane to Porto late so the aquarium was already closed. So we went to discover the neighbourhood. The place is quite nice, but not enough of Corsican soul.

Small and dark aquarium, not worth the price of the ticket. Better to go for a swim and see all the same fishes.
