I love visiting Fitzroy there are lots of different bars, restaurants and cafes that are great to either eat or have a drink in. Overall it is a really nice suburb or Melbourne with easy access to Melbourne CBD (Central Business District).

We love Princess Highway and op shopping. Fantastic streets away from the usual outlets. Ubered there from the city central. 5 of us and only $20 and $15 back. Great place to wander up and down with a few good cafes also.

If you love photographing older buildings or interesting designs on walls you are in for a treat as this place offers many different styles. Food is mostly overpriced given its an expensive suburb. Nightlife is great with street performers and a thriving jazz scene

It is a different part of Melbourne that is now becoming trendier and it has some interesting old buildings as well as some good restaurants and some not so good. It still has a slightly tough edge but an interesting part of Melbourne.

For me, Fitzroy is a place full of vintage, creative, unique place in Melbourne. the historical buildings and vintage shops combine very well with the unique bars and restaurants. It is worthwhile to explore the area.

Its the hipster central of Australia. Ladies with tattoos on their legs (very chic now) and men with big long bushy beards (equally chic). Many years back (or decades actually, in the 70's) Brunswick St Fitzroy was a bohemian area where artists and musicians would...More

Fitzroy is an unusual blend of working class roots,
hip gentrification, and a robust bohemian work ethic.
Along Brunswick Street and its side streets, you'll
find little independent shops where local clothes and
furniture designers display their wares. There are
specialist bookshops, funky record bars, and quality
vintage clothing shops where browsing is the next best
thing to buying. Gertrude Street is famous for its
