Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very peaceful walk, track was not having height but a simple walk in nature on muddy track, you have mountain on one side and valley on other. Very peaceful and refreshing. You should carry your food items, no vendors allowed in all these points of Kasauli due to Military areas.

This trail is a perfect jungle walk in the mountains above 6200 ft . You will love the pristine pine breeze & open sky. Do visit Monki point & the Sunset point at the end of it . A must if you happen to visit Kasauli

It’s a trek you would enjoy walking and will take you around 50 mts . It’s calm and quite place I went with my 13 year old son and thoroughly enjoyed the walk . You can really hear the bird song. Enclosing a few pics would have loved to post a few videos but Tripadvisor doesn’t allow.

Gilbret trail is a trail that is off Upper Kasauli. The view from here is beautiful. You feel as a part of nature being surrounded by huge Pine trees and magnificent mountains.
If you are adventurous kinds this is a must do activity in Kasauli. The trail is fit for all - for elderly travel on the used path, for the young and adventurous take any of the side trails and you reach the end of mountains with drop of thousands of feet below you.
you easily feel the king of the world and at the top of it.
A refreshing trail

Gilbert's Trail is a peaceful, nature friendly and beautiful errand. It offers the greatest views one can witness when in Kasauli. Prefer going here around the sunset or during the sunrise. Since I visited in the winters, the sun was very soothing. The trail is not less than a paradise for people who love photography. There is a Sunset Point too. The whole path is clean and walking here would make you feel replenished. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Friends and families decided to check out the quaint little hill station , Kasauli, which is just 6 hrs drive from Delhi. The drive on the karnal highway was great until we reached Chandigarh outskirts where we were swamped by the traffic.
While the entire weekend crowd headed to Shimla to drown in the chaos, a few wise people like us headed for Kasauli. This place is a pure walkers paradise and there is little else to do but gape at the pine tree studded hills and watch yourself engulfed by clouds. The Gilbert's trail , a trek carved out on the mountains is a truly blissful way to walk in the pine woods. This time of the year, sept- October was perfect and the hilly slopes were decked with myriad hues of flowers. Do visit this place for reflection and liberation.

This place is located very close to market and central Kasauli. One has to leave the cab at the entry gate and walk to the trail. the road to the trail also covers sunset point and its very beautiful, neat and clean and well maintained. there is a small cafeteria on the way. You will get tea and coffee along with diaries with our national emblem and mugs with beautiful pic depicting the fervour of patriotism. Worth purchasing these things. During the walk one can read the lines and quotations of Indian Army and also read about the martyrs. A very unique place and a must visit place for all the Indians. It has everything in it, feeling of patriotism, social messages, security, serenity and tranquility in the lap of nature.

Being a trek person i found this trail a bit hyped one. Its a path leadings to suicide point (end point) where usually school/college going couples can be seen cuddling up beneath the tress & behind the bushes.
It was my curiosity to see the end point of the trail (about which no one mentioned in reviews) which led me on a 10km trek up & down. It's the same path you have to come back.
For the last 2-3km (4-6km both ways) only a group of 3 guys & i was seen exploring the one-way path (cliff on the one side & the mountain on the other).
The guys got mislead by seeing my confidence (they thought that i know the place) & we ended up in a dead end.... It was then they realized that i too was an explorer like them.... Well we became friends.
Path is risky.... 1 wrong step & you are in the deep valley.
