The temple is a steep climb and not advisable for seniors, but that didn't stop us from seeing a few of them doggedly climbing. The temple is simple and neat and is built for a devotee of Shiva who is reputed (the devotee, not Shiva) to give the boon of children to the childless. It is a few kilometers from Kasauli and has no amenities.
However there are some good views of Kasauli to be seen when you stop to catch your breath.

If you are a tourist in Kasauli, this is one of the major temples which is a part of the tour. The Baba Balak Nath temple is around 6.5 kms from the Dharampur railway station, and since we had a cab for the whole day, we thought of visiting the temple.

The temple is located on a hill, and you will need to climb to reach the temple. Although there is a slope for climbing compared to steps to make it easy, the same is also steep and needs some effort to reach the temple. The main temple is quite beautiful, and once inside, you can see a beautiful statue of Shri Sidh Baba Balak Nath. When we asked the local people, they stated a lot of people come here to pray and also that many people said any wish that is asked here is certainly fulfilled.

Though the temple complex above is massive and has an ashram for people to stay, from the top, you have a balcony-like structure behind the main temple, from where you get a beautiful view of the entire mountains covered in a lush green carpet of trees. This is one of the best spots to click some scenic pictures.

There is also a small café nearby in case you wish to have some light refreshments or tea. Overall, the temple is beautiful and a must-visit place on a tour of Kasauli.

At a distance of 3.5 km from Kasauli, Baba Balak Nath Temple is a famous temple situated at Gadkhal in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.

The Baba Balak Nath Temple is located on the Graner Hill. This cave temple is dedicated to Baba Balak Nath, an ardent follower of Lord Shiva. Locals believe that if childless couple visit and pray here, they will be blessed with children.

Beautiful views of Kasauli can be captured from the temple compound.

The temple is neat and clean.
To reach the temple, one has to walk some distance uphil from the road but the climb is steep and not advisable for senior citizens.
The main temple has idol of Baba Balaknath. Another adjacent temple has idol of Baglamukhi Mata.
When we went there, it had just rained. So, the weather was really good and the place had a great view but not sure if it would have a similar feel on a non-rainy day.

The temple is situated in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The temple of Baba balak nath is very famous among Himachal and Punjab regions. Devotees from across India and abroad come to visit this temple and pray. The temple is very crowded during March-April month because of the Chaitra month chala (Fate/Mela). During this peak period the waiting time for darshan is usually 3-4 hours, so plan your day accordingly. It's always advisable to visit the temple during morning hours and Sundays.
