Overview
More
Timespan is a cultural centre that contains a museum telling a story from the harbour to the hills. It has the only contemporary art gallery in the county which has six exhibitions a year which follow the organisations annual themes. The archive contains more than eleven thousand items donated by the local community and contains genealogy information of many of the local families. The River Cafe offers home baking and light lunches with some outdoor seating by the river enabling you to watch the wildlife close up. The gift shop has a wide variety from childrens' toys to local pottery.

This local museum is so well conceived and put together. The history of the local village life and the herring industry has been captured in creative and realistic ways. We especially enjoyed the short film.

An interesting museum but not many exhibits. Gives you an insight into local history and the history of the area. Worth a visit.

Small but interesting museum/gallery. Very well-presented and seemed quite new. £4 entry price for an adult. Had a nice little gift shop, cafe, and free WiFi.

Many thanks for your positive review. The gallery exhibition you mention has now closed, and we are preparing the gallery for an exhibition opening on 1st September 2017 by Tonje Boe Birkland, a Norwegian artist.
