Suggestive underground route, with a passionate and prepared guide. It is possible to perceive the exceptional ability to adapt the population in the various historical periods. Perhaps more care should be taken in preserving certain places. To be tried absolutely

A very interesting guided tour in the caves. The young female guide was impressive and gave us a very interesting introduction to the many periods of Gravina's history as we visited three underground caves. The tour even lasted longer than the scheduled one hour. Highly...More

Gravina in Puglia actually has little to offer, other than the spectacular Palazzo Sottile Meninni. A great small church right by this hotel (the one with the skulls and crossbones). Pay the 3 euros and go in with a guide. The Sotterranea tour really just...More

A good way to see an aspect (underground) of an old Puglia city. It was not expensive and it was interesting. The guide did speak adequate English.

A once in a lifetime experience. The whole town of Gravina sits on a Warren of limestone caves that were extended by excavations to use their blocks as building materials. You get to walk down in a huge such cavern. Fascinating.
