Amazing to be allowed to get so close to these mighty aircraft. Makes me realise how much we all owe to the airmen that contributed so much for our liberty.

A fabulous collection of US hardware that cannot be missed on a visit to the IWM. Fortunately there is a cafe on hand because you can spend much more time there than you planned!!

Went to a corporate event, welcome drinks, a guided tour round the American Air Museum. The guides certainly knew their history. Meal at the workshop was really good and catered for my gluten and dairy allergies.

This is part of teh IWM Duxford site, dedicated to american planes. See how massive a B52 is when you get up close! the wingspan takes up the whole width of the building, it feels like the building was built around the plane.
