Small but interesting and packed museum, with helpful staff. Worth an hour or so to see the local items on display. Directly opposite the remains of the old hunting lodge of King James VI.

Small but a great deal of items to view and information to read on all items give yourself at least 1hour but you could spend 2 to 3 hours easily to view and take in all information provided not open every day advisable to check...More

This is a small museum with a lot of items contained in a beautiful, old building. Volunteers were very knowledgable and friendly. Be sure and take in the upstairs gallery.

This museum is run by an inspiring curator who is keen to involve members of the community and to encourage as many as possible through the door. Something there for every age, activity days, craft afternoons, a very welcoming place.
