This is an area that used to be a post station of Tokaido Route in the Edo Era. Currently, it's just a shopping street for locals. If you are staying near Shinagawa Station or Shinagawa Seaside Station, it's not bad to visit this area.

My friend and I walked around this street as we had arrived early for our MariCar tour. It was nice to explore and look around nearby but when in Tokyo, there are definitely much better places to see. I'd recommend this to anyone already in...More

This small shopping street is quite close to Shinagawa station and at the back of the railway line that goes to Yokohama. It is very typical of small shopping streets in Tokyo and probably one of the lesser interesting ones.

A nice, quaint street with a nice traditional Japanese feel. We found a nice patisserie (Kyo-An) that had the best Mille Feuille that we ever had. This street is a nice place to stroll if you are staying in the Shinagawa area.

The 20 minutes walks along 2 metro station is nice and peacefull. It goes from kitashinagawa to Aomono-yokocho. Nice small shop and restaurant all along. Not a tourisitic place so all is in japanese. Nice after a long and tyring day in tokyo.

It is a typical Japanese shopping street and not special at all and there are far more interesting places around to get the flor of older Tokyo. If you near the areas visit but do not expect a lot. The Kita Shinagawa station is small...More

Every year on the last weekend in September, Kitashinagawa Shopping Street hosts the Shinagawa Shukuba Festival. The festival features parades consisting of people in colorful and authentic Edo-period clothing. The first parade, held Saturday afternoon, is for "oiran." Oiran were the female entertainers of the...More

In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with

beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as
well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a
